Hey and welcome back to the Relief Treats channel, today we’ll be making microdose capsules. This is a great way to get all the benefits from mushrooms especially if you’re someone who doesn’t always like the way they taste. First, let’s go over what you’ll need in order to do this and keep in mind there will be a link in the video description showing you where you can buy all of these items
- Your choice of mushroom
- Some type of blender or grinder
- Capsules – these are size 00
- This cool little capsule filler is optional but it eliminates a lot of the manual steps in this process and for that reason I love it
- And you’ll definitely want to wear some sterile gloves for all of this as well
And now, let’s get started.
So step 1 is a little time consuming but what you have to do is separate the 2 halves of all the capsules and then get them sorted on the filling tray. Some like to slide in upside down so be mindful of that
Step 2 would be to gather your mushrooms. They all have their own specific nutritional profiles so make sure you choose the one or ones that will benefit you the most. I have about 14 grams here that I’ll be starting with and I’m just going to put it all in the blender like this, definitely picking up those runaways. Then blend them till the powder is fine enough to be able to place in the capsules easily.
Step 3: Dump the mixture onto your filling tray but don’t immediately uncover it. Let it sit for a few minutes so that dust doesn’t float everywhere. Once everything has had a chance to settle go ahead and uncover it and start working it in. Of course you can do this manually without a filling tray like this, it will just take a little more time. Another cool thing about this device is it comes with a tool to spread things around and another tool to pack in the capsules and fit in as much as possible.
And lastly Step 4 is to cover them all up. Again, this capsule filler is a huge time saver for this
And that’s it… These capsules are ready to go. I like to store them in a cool dark place with a silica moisture absorber but rice or cotton can work just as well. These gel packets are color coded and reusable so you can see when they need to be recharged and you never have to buy more.
